Contains five items being army plans for delaying the movement of German troops to the battle area during the assault phase of the allied invasion, the earliest of which, dated 2/12/42, deals with the air attack of road and rail targets to prevent reinforcement by the Germans of the Cherbourg Peninsula. Two papers from 21 Army Group, dated 30/12/43 and 12/2/44, deal with the problem of delaying reinforcement of the area of the Overlord landings and the last two items are copies of a memorandum from C.S. Napier, SHAEF G-4 (Movement and Transportation Division), 'Air attack on railways', dated 25/22/44, commenting on the AEAF transportation plan.
