Scope and content

Contains three items. The first two, from August 1944 are by E.W. Brant of the Railway Research Service and propose ways in which air operations could disrupt German troop movements to the Normandy battle area. The third is a memorandum from Air Chief Marshal Tedder, 'Attack of oil and communications targets', 23/11/44, issued to army and Tactical Air Force commanders and drawing their attention to the policy adopted for strategoc bomber forces of attacking the enemy's oil and communications systems. The memorandum includes outlines of the systems and lists of targets indicating their priority.
