They’d had a trip to Holme bird observatory with Dr Joy, a little breezy as the windscreen shattered on the way. Most of the time was spent collecting grasses.
They also spent the Friday collecting insects in Earlham Park as the mayflies were just hatching. ‘I had finally specimens representing 25 orders, which is as good as anyone.’
