Covering letter to a SHAEF G-2 paper 'Effects of recent attacks on rail centres on the enemy ability to supply and maintain forces in the bridgehead area', 24/5/44 [SZ/AEAF/5/1/3], attached. The accompanying paper had been prepared at the request of Urmston's section.

Foord signs on behalf of the A.C of S, G-2, General K.W.D. Strong. The accompanying paper "is forming part of a larger study of the whole [Transportation] plan" and is anxious that this study, which concentrates on German supply and maintenance traffic, should not lead to accusations that G-2 Division is "wilfully belittling the effects of the recent attacks".

Letter is attributed to G.S. [i.e. E.J.] Foord.
