A donation of fairly select files of MS lecture notes in Chris Wrigley’s hand. The notes provide detailed outlines of the lectures delivered by Richard Shannon, Geoffrey Searle and others from 1965-1968. There are also notes from January-June 1968 on the joint history/English course given by Jonathan Raban and Geoffrey Searle.
Chris Wrigley was a UEA student 1965-1968. He retired at University of Nottingham in 2012 where he was Professor of History. He was awarded an honorary doctorate degree from UEA in 1998.
The files were received by UEA Archives in August and September 2012 just before Professor Wrigley’s retirement at University of Nottingham.
