"This report describes a metallurgical examination of fragments, both large and small, from model bomb casings, and discusses in detail the type of fractures found and their bearing on the mode of break up of the casing. The carbon content of the steel is shown to have an effect on the type of fracture." Illustrations of fragments and cracks in them are included, as well as graphs.
