"In order to collect data for a comparison of the fragmentation of the model bomb casings with that of full sized bombs two fragmentation trials have been carried out with 50 kg. G.P. bombs. The first was designed to give a picture of the fragment field and this was used as a basis of the second main trial. In this a representative sample was obtained of the fragments from the centre carcase of the bomb. The trials were mainly concerned with size and shape of fragments but some information on penetration was obtained." Tables are included, illustrations of fragments, fragmentation angles, and layout of the bomb site.
