"A modified micro hardness-tester is described, specially designed to deal with the small bomb fragments with which this investigation is concerned. This enables local variation in hardness to be measured at microscopically determined points. Independent tests of the instruments at the University of Sheffield are also described." Illustrations of the apparatus are included. A note of acknowledgement from the C.D.R.C. is attached.
