Examines the comparison between the penetration of timber by bomb fragments, and laboratory penetration experiments where projectiles were fired from the micro fragment gun. At 50 feet from the bomb, average bomb fragments weighing 53 mg have a velocity of 2,000 feet/sec. A considerable drop in velocity was caused by air resistance. The conclusion rendered the problem, of protection against particles smaller than 53 mg., much more hopeful of solution. Tables and graphs are included.
