A micro fragment gun is used to project very small projectiles of standard weight and shape at a number of standard velocities so that the penetration of these small fragments into various materials can be studied under controlled conditions. The steel balls weighed 53 mg. at a number of velocities ranging from 500 to 3,800 foot/sec. Tables and graphs are included, and a drawing of a micro fragment gun.
Report for the Ministry of Home Security.
