Simultaneous measurements of the velocity of small projectiles were made by three different methods. One was the usual method with screens, the other two involved spark photography for recording respectively the distance travelled by the ball between successive times sparks, and the angle of the "bow" and "stern" waves sent into the air by the moving projectile. The velocities mmeasured by the three methods agreed within the limits of the experimental error involved. Tables, and drawings of the optical arrangement of the camera lenses, are included. Spark photographs of a 3/32 in. steel ball in flight are included.
