Bombs were detonated behind sandbag walls of various types, each consisting of 4 sandbags. Telephone directories were placed six feet behind the wall and their penetration by fragments examined. An estimate was made of the velocities of the metallic fragments striking the directories, and from these results, an estimate of their probability of causing incapacitation. Tables and graphs displaying such results are included.
