McSwiney enquires whether haemorrhagic lesions appear some time after an exposure to blast, and after examination.

McSwiney suggests that Greenfield's views [of lung lesions occurring through the trachea] may have something to do with the different elasticity of the lungs of larger animals. He suggests that SZ carry out a few experiments on large animals, although he supports the theory that the major effect of blast on the lungs, is due to impact on the chest wall.
