Compares and discusses the use of 20 lb and 100 lb bombs. The aim is for a small bomb to penetrate to the necessary depth before explosion, so that dug-outs will be struck.

SZ quotes from a letter by Krohn. He refers to a paper in `Surgery, Gynaecology and Obstetrics', written by Colonal Loyal Davis. Included are several mis-statements. The O.E.M.U. had put at Davis' disposal data on the penetration of protective clothing. This data had been incorrectly presented although the source was not acknowledged. Fulton was to be aware of this if the paper came up for official discussion.
