Mentions the availability of orange phosphorescent materials which may suffice for red. The after-glow period is significant. Orange-red zinc-cadmium sulphides are suggested for a glow not requiring more than half-an-hour. For a longer glow, experiments with calcium sulphides and special activators are suggested. [The query is to determine the best illumination for instrument panels in night flying].
