Two-paragraph typescript [written circa April 1974?] referring to the suggestion that "an alternative plan [to the AEAF Transportation plan] can be put forward at this stage". The author argues that "If such a plan were to excluded the object of interferring with enemy communications it could, so far as "Overlord" is concerned, only apply itself to targets such as Coastal defences, CROSSBOW [V-weapon sites], Dumps, Military H.Q., M.T. [mechanised transport] parks and oil Depots. All of these, with the exception of the latter are already tabled for attack as and when the conditions are suitable." It is further argued that dumps and M.T. parks "definitely come second in priority" to 21 Army Group's "suggested communications programme".
