The report, also headed "Comparison Schedule for Railway Targets" is a table listing rail centres in France and Belgium attacked between 6/3/44 and 11/4/44, giving estimates of fatal casualties, figures for fatalities cited by Vichy French sources, and indicating the relationship of estimated casualties to bomb strikes both estimated and observed.

The calculations were produced in the light of discussions in the War Cabinet Defence Committee on civilian casualties in occupied territories resulting from air attacks on rail centres in support of Operation Overlord.

Two copies. Copy [SZ/AEAF/7/1/22] has attached a copy of the covering letter from D.A.C. Dewdney to SZ [SZ/AEAF/7/1/21]. Copy [SZ/AEAF/7/1/23] has been marked in MS. Both copies are annotated in MS "See cover note DACD to SZ, 25/4/44".
