Top and carbon copy of covering letter to the table entitled 'Interim Report on Estimates of Fatal Casualties from Strikes shown on Bomb Plots prepared for Attacks on Railway Targets, 25/4/44 [SZ/AEAF/7/1/22-23]. Dewdney warns that "the figures for observed strikes per acre are no criterion of the extent to which the theorectical attack of four strikes per acre has been duplicated", since they are based on "an arbitary selected to include all the bombs that fell on the Marshalling yard" and do not correspond yo the area of the whole yard or that part covered by a theorectical bomb scatter at 640 yards M.R.E used in RE.8's original estimates which based on an average of four strikes per acre.
