Summary agreed with the Railway Executive Committee. The meeting was convened and chaired by the C in C AEF to discuss the planned programme of strategic air attacks on the rail system of Northwest Europe with representatives of the Air Ministry, Railway Executive Committee and Railway Research Service. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the US Air Forces and 21 Army Group. A verbatum account is given in [SZ/AEAF/1/8/4]. The summary separately outlines the views expressed by the representatives of the rail authorities, Air Ministry, and Army. Opinions were divided as to the extent of dislocation likely to be achieved and of reserve capacity on which the Germans could draw.
