Scope and content

Table 2 of 'Attacks on Towns and Villages' [see SZ/AEAF/1/21/14-15; SZ/AEAF/1/21/17-20]. The table gives the map reference, distance from the Front, population and weight (bomb tonnage) of attack for air attacks on French towns to create road blocks in support of Operation Overlord. The towns are: St Sauveur le Vicomte, La Haye du Puys, Carentan, Isigny, Tonigny sur Vire, St Martin des Besaces, Folligny and Argentan.
