Table I of 'Attacks on Towns and Villages' [see SZ/AEAF/1/21/14; SZ/AEAF/1/21/16-20].
Table of French towns attacked in order to create road blocks in support of Operation Overlord, and for which air reconnaissance photographs were available. The table gives map references, distance from the Front, population, weight of bombs recorded as deployed in the attack, categories of damage to roads, railways and river crossings and date of the latest photo cover.
The towns are: Valognes, Lessay, Periers, St Lo, Caen, Coutances, Canisy, Aunay, Sur Don, Evrecy, Bretteville sur Laize, Villedieu les Poeles, Vire, Condé sur Noireau, Falaise, Flers, Pontaubault and St Hilaire du Harcouet.
