Material consists of poems and drafts of poems, manuscript and typescript. Relevant material, such as early drafts, research and notes for poems, may be found in poetry notebooks (SMa/1/1) and in the series for Diaries and Notebooks (SMa/7).

Each file corresponds to a poem. Files are organised into the order in which the poem appeared in The Florist's at Midnight. Poems that have been gathered by SMa are filed after the individual, collected poems. This includes contents lists.

Note: Some poems were collected in other collections and are therefore filed in other sub-series. The following poems have no material in this sub-series:
