Pritchard, Jonathan. recipient
In response to Jonathan's letter stating his intention of joining the forces on his return to England [PP/30/1/2/100], Jack Pritchard impresses on Jonathan that it was Jack and Molly Pritchard who sent him to America and that Jonathan should not feel ashamed. If Jonathan had children, Jack believes he would have done the same thing. Discusses the manpower shortage in Britain and says Jonathan should seek advice from the Ministry of Labour before volunteering instead of going to university. Pritchard believes Jonathan would be of more use to the country by completing his education. Even in this situation Jonathan could be ordered to go to a factory or wherever the government thought he would be of most use. Pritchard says he is sure Jonathan will be able to serve his country in one way or another.
