Scope and content
Contains correspondence between Jonathan Pritchard and Jack and Molly Pritchard while Jonathan was in the United States and Canada during World War 2. He was educated at Upper Canada College, Toronto, and then Harvard before returning to England in 1944. The letters detail his social life and his educational progress. Jonathan was a particularly keen sportsman and his letters reflect this. Later letters touch on the conflict between returning to England to attend Cambridge University and Jonathan's feeling that if he did so he would not be doing his bit for the war effort. The letters contain mention of many friends of the Pritchards, especially Walter Gropius, Beatrice Taussig, Marcel Breuer, Allyn Forbes, and Geoff Andrew as well as Molly Pritchard and Jeremy Pritchard. Not fully catalogued at item level.
