Scope and content

Pritchard believes the design sub-group is on the right lines regarding education. The current proposals for a national college to be run by "an ordinary educationalist" risk producing another technical college. The real need is to raise "the cultural level" of the industry and for a greater use of imagination. He insists the main Furniture Working Party report must acknowledge the design sub-group's ideas in this area.
