Scope and content
Pritchard says either selling Wyatt the furniture designs outright or on a royalty basis will not work. His preferred solution is that Pritchard does the designs and selling and Wyatt deals with production. In this way Pritchard can contribute his knowledge and contacts. There are obvious financial constraints and possible restrictions on the number of new firms allowed in the post-war period. He will contact the furniture industry's post-war reconstruction committee about this. If the company is re-formed Pritchard thinks a turn-over of £10,000 within three years is not an unreasonable target. He gives details of the history of the firm, some of its products, and its collaboration with Penguin Books over the penguin donkey bookcase. Mentions an idea for producing plywood boats at his Norfolk boatyard, [Martham], which may also interest Wyatt.
