Fyleman, Frederick. recipient
Encloses a letter to Mr Wyatt [not attached] and informs Fyleman that so far he cannot find all of Isokon Furniture Company's papers. He details the development of the company and its contacts in the Baltic and Scandinavia. Isokon furniture has been exhibited at the Ideal Homes Exhibition, the Burlington Galleries and as far afield as San Francisco. Within 18 months sales had reached £600 per quarter and had moved from the "snob market" into the mass market. He sets out how the arrangement with Penguin Books over the penguin donkey came about. But as soon as war began he realised the company would have to close.
