Harben notes that the first month following a reduction in wages has produced an Isobar profit. He raises questions over serving breakfast and lunch. Harben insists the Isobar cannot pay its way and pay its creditors at the same time, and makes the point that if the Pritchards had paid their drinks bill in full from the start the club would be in a healthier position and the Harbens would not be facing the sack. Harben says he and Kathy [Harben] have kept the club running on the sort of wages a domestic servant might get, yet all the Pritchards have provided is hostility. It is this attitude that caused the Harbens to place an advertisement in the Times. Annotated with Jack Pritchard's thoughts regarding some of Harben's points.
