Scope and content
Correspondence primarily between Jack Pritchard and the Housing Department of Camden Council. Pritchard tries to persuade Camden Council to obtain sufficient information to restore Lawn Road Flats, a listed building, to its former state. An outside wall is re-erected after tree damage. Tebbs Bros provide quotes on the felling of trees in a wooded area to the back of the flats. Pritchard requests permission to stay on for an extra year at Lawn Road to participate in a Walter Gropius exhibition. He discusses the possibility of turning flat 32 into a museum. Students from the Royal College of Arts visit the flats. Pritchard asks for Mrs Groag, a former tenant, to be granted accommodation. The issue of Pritchard's rent is raised. Camden Council do not feel the necessity to accommodate only tenants who require to make use of the services, and when possible, services are phased out. A part of Hampstead is to be transfered and known as Gospel Oak District. Dr Edmond is considered as a possible tenant of flat 32, Pritchard's flat. Not catalogued to item level.
