They’d had the Student Council buffet luncheon at Wood Hall Hethersett. The undergraduate gowns (Cecil Beaton) were being made up by the robe makers for the Chancellor’s installation in April. With tricorn hats, black velvet trimmings, and blue puffed/slashed sleeves and of cape length.
