Scope and content
‘The University will eventually have a chaplain, but at present all denominations have people with special responsibility towards us. However the Archdeacon is a feature of the Cathedral while his daughter (Jillie Aitken) is a feature of the University, living at home.’

The Students’ Council had been completely elected and in spite of Adrian’s best efforts, several of the wrong people got in, mainly because there were too few men and too few scientists, i.e. ‘many girls on the arts side are inclined to vote for the wrong type.’ Adrian remarks on politics in general.
