Describes the inconveniences as the dining hall extension is only due to be finished in February.
The Drama Society had been auditioning for Faustus to be put on in the Castle.
They’d visited the Jacquard Folk Sing club and the Jolly Butchers. The Shrub [Club] they used to patronise had been closed in their absence due to a fire risk.
They’d been sailing from Ranworth to Horning. ‘Jillie varnished her jeans because I told her it should make them waterproof.’
‘Sunday was the big test – David and I surrounded the Bendix and proceeded to stuff it with 9lb of clothes. It seems to have worked ok.’ Ironing was taken up to the University to use the Union’s iron.
‘The grant has arrived, £102 this term, the bill for the residence is £39 and for week-day evening meals is £9.15.’
