Scope and content
The contents were copied by Dr Michael Sanderson, from originals in the possession of Lady Ralphs, while researching the history of UEA. The copies were placed in the care of the Archives Department in 1995.

The contents include: photocopies of correspondence, minutes and memoranda, and newscuttings relating to the establishment of the University of East Anglia. Also included is a copy of Ralphs' lecture at the University, 22/1/74; and a portrait photograph of Ralphs.

Sir Lincoln Ralphs, then Dr F. Lincoln Ralphs, was the Chief Education Officer of Norfolk at the time of the foundation of UEA and was a founder member of both the University's Promotion Committee and its Academic Planning Board.
