File SZ/ZOO/11/46 deals with the establishment of a resident Film and TV unit at Regent's Park. This followed an approach to SZ by Sidney Bernstein and the initial contract for operating it was held by his company, Granada TV. Granada used the unit to produce its Zoo Time and Animal ABC series for children. The file includes correspondence with the BBC, with whom the Zoo had previously had a connection, particularly with the Zoo Quest programmes, concerning arrangements when Granada's contract ended.
