Brown, S. P. (of the Government Actuary's Department)
Douglas, J. W. B. recipient
Stewart asks Douglas if they could meet in London to discuss Douglas' paper [on peptic ulcers]. Stewart had passed Douglas' paper to S.P. Brown in the Government Actuary's Department who is interested in sickness records. He made some severe criticisms of the paper. Stewart attaches the actuary's note and suggests Douglas read it before the paper is sent to Scotland Yard for official "vetting".
