Bronowski asks what contributions the Casualty Survey could make with regards to a paper on flying bombs and the effects of this weapon on civilian morale. The paper was to be produced by the Ministry of Home Security. Dr Douglas and Dr Spicer put forward suggestions. Information was available on shelter occupancies and civilians' attitudes towards the fly bomb weapons. Evacuation studies had been carried out in Lewisham and Croydon. A study on ulcer perforation was also available. It was decided that if a study on absenteeism was to be carried out, it should be on transport employees. Spicer and Douglas would present the information available in a suitable form by the end of October 1944.
