The damage by bombs of different sizes is considered; the effects on people within houses which are directly hit; and the effects which people suffer from splinters when they are in the open. Physiological effects include concussion, ear damage, and being thrown or sucked in by the blast. Effects within Anderson shelters are also analysed. Tables of data are included.
