World War, 1939-1945 -- Psychological aspects
Concentrates mainly on Birmingham. In all the raids, only 2,000 people were killed in Birmingham (.2% of the population). The houses seriously damaged totalled 18,000. Trends for the movement of families within and out of the city are discussed. The interference with work and morale was described as low. Basic services and food supply are mentioned. Migration to the city, and the general population composition are also referred to.
