Proposal for an analysis of the effects of air raids on Birmingham and Hull. Hull is studied for the effects on transport since it is a typical port. Birmingham is studied for the effects on industrial plants. Data to be collected is listed: the character of the raids; immediate after-raid conditions, including food problems, morale, rest centres, etc.; the recovery period, including repairs, evacuation, transport, and long term effect on morale; and data on economics. The method for collecting the data, and the bodies responsible, are detailed.
