SZ provides comments to a draft paper. He remarks on the arrangements which were made for him and Bernal to go out to the Middle East. Their movements through Tripoli and Cairo are explained.

SZ's acquaintance with Air Vice Marshal Robb is discussed, and his visit to Algiers to discuss operations in the Western Desert.
