Having read about SZ's work on the use of rubber in protective clothing the "Manchester Guardian", Harral informs SZ that Dunlop has been working on the same subject with Dr De Vine which resulted in a patent application for an anti-concussion bandeau. Harral encloses a sample [not included] and a copy of an advertisement for the product [SZ/OEMU/4/7/2]. Dunlop has also sold ear drum protectors which work on the same principle. Dr De Vine believes Dunlopillo rubber has advantages over other rubbers and if SZ would like to test it Harral will send some samples.
