Discusses tests on and production of materials which are light transmitting and opaque, and which substitute for glass in areas vulnerable to bombings. The substitutes described are: plastic film with metal reinforcement; plastic film with textile netting reinforcement; plastic film without reinforcement; impregnated fabrics; and waterproofed papers. The fixing of these into wooden frames, metal frames, and roof lights is described. Drawings of the fixing processes are included.
