"Trials in clay soil at Richmond Park showed that the crater sizes, permanent earth movements and earth accelerations due to the explosion of charges of T.N.T., R.D.X./T.N.T. 60/40 and Torpex 2, 8 to 9 lb. in weight buried 4 ft. deep, increased in the order given, the permanent earth movements at given distances from Torpex being about twice as great as those for T.N.T." Tables and graphs are included, and a corrigendum on a separate leaf.
