The series of R.C. papers containing commentaries on the tests reported in Passive Defense Bulletin No. 1 was forwarded to Mr. Hovde of the U.S. Embassy for transmission to the United States, with a covering letter dated 11/2/42 containing comments and requests. The letter was forwarded to Professor Burchard, and his reply, dated 16/6/42, was addressed to Mr Wilson of the Office of Scientific Research and Development. Professor Burchard enclosed a letter, dated 10/6/42, from Colonel Wilson on behalf of Chief of Engineers. This correspondence is reproduced in this item. The photographs relating to the specific points raised, and the replies to them, have been extracted and presented together.
