Zuckerman, Solly, 1904-1993 recipient
Encloses a draft of a circular letter on the treatment of blast injuries for the Navy Department [SZ/OEMU/2/19/3/7, attached]. He mentions that he met a chief medical officer of a large naval unit which had received a direct hit off Crete. The incidence of primary blast injury and flash burns is high in these direct hits. Amnesia is also found in cases where the head appears to have no external injuries. Fulton is eager to see SZ's calculations concerning blast and concussion.
