Fulton acknowledges receipt of a paper by Black, Burns, [and SZ?] on the wounding mechanism of high velocity missiles. He mentions having met Dr Wilson, the mentor of Colonel Callender who had taken over the editorship of the second volume of the Medical History of the War. Fulton writes from hospital. He had plugged a bronchus in an attempt to open a eustachian tube, while observing a simulated parachute jump in a decompression chamber.
