Scope and content

Explains SZ's wish not to be directly connected with a booklet published by Blackwell, and that several people are interested in the type of work SZ had done. Fulton describes the situation in Washington. He mentions a dinner party which Thornton Wilder and Mrs Ayer attended. Mrs Ayer [wife of Sir Alfred Ayer] had been part of the group of mothers who came across from Oxford with children. The Anglo-American liaison of science is discussed.
