Scope and content

Fulton thanks SZ for a booklet [published by Blackwell]. He explains the difficulties being faced with anti-conscription campaigns and how the Medical Defence Programme is being affected. The liaison between British and American scientists is discussed in relation to the difficulties associated with a forthcoming election. The awkwardness of the Navy and Army in terms of sharing anything adds to the problem of liaison. Beattie was asked for a report on the medical defence in Flanders, and matters discouraging a visit by him to the United States are described.
