The Fauna Preservation Society (FPS), from 1981 the Fauna & Flora Preservation Society, was founded in 1903 and had close links with the Zoological Society. Its secretariat was accommodated in the ZSL’s Regent’s Park offices. SZ became a vice president of the FSP in 1964. In 1973 he became its President.
The agenda and minutes comprise the bulk of the series. The correspondence relates chiefly to SZ’s appointments as a Vice President and then President and to his attendance at meetings and events organised by the Society.
