SZ reports on Hailsham's attitude to the International Institute for Science and Technology. The United Kingdom Government could not take any initiative in the matter. If the United States or another European country were to take steps to establish the Institute in the United Kingdom, then the Government would have to get involved. SZ expected to discuss the project with Dr William Greulich, the Scientific Attaché at the United States Embassy. SZ adds that he had not told Lord Alexander Todd about these subsequent developments.
